New camera for the new year….
Got the Panasonic Lumix GX1 with the Lumix GX 14-42 power zoom lens – Fantastic camera & lens! But what I’m psyched on is being able to use the Leica 40mm f/2 Summicron-C lens on this camera via a lens adapter.
Can’t wait to try this out not just for photos, but for video too. The 40mm f/2.0 Leica Summicron-C was made for the Leica CL, & its probably one of the best & cheapest lenses Leica made. Its got amazing Bokeh & to use this on a digital camera not only for photos, but for videos as well should be lots of fun.
Will post some sample pics later on my Flickr & Instagram. In the mean time, here are some pics of the lens below.

Hello Paul,
thank you! The lens adapter is a generic no-brand made in China M mount to M4/3 adapter that I bought in a camera enthusiast shop here in Hong Kong. Cost about HK$300 which is about US$40.
Adapters for different systems are available & its a lot of fun to be able to use lenses from different cameras on the GX1,
Check out this user on Instagram, @nicholasswan (if you have instagram), he also got a GX1 & has many ‘classic’ lenses on it.
